Overview:
As part of the No Surprises Act, patients have new protections from surprise billing. But these protections were steeped in medical and policy terminology that was difficult for patients to apply to their situations. I worked closely with Coforma, the contractor awarded this work and our partners at CMS to design this patient-friendly site that not only provided information on the No Surprises Act, but also directed patients to other resources when their concern was beyond the scope of that policy.
